The “Like Killers” music video”, directed by Calgary’s own Mike Peterson, has been nominated for an AMPIA (Alberta Motion Picture Ind. Award)! We’re up against Corb Lund and a few others.

The guys also played Canadian Music Week just before heading south to Austin. Without a doubt, they were one of the talks of the festival because they rocked it. So. Very. Hard.

They’re playing JunoFest! Check the Event section and/or Discussion Board for details.

Thinking about & working on the next video, wrapping up an Australian street date for “How To Lose Everything” along with routing a Canada & USA West Coast swing of tour dates … stay tuned!

… DAN MANGAN …
His debut album “Postcards & Daydreaming” will be released in Australia on March 22nd, 2008 on ABC/WEA

Our man Dan is touring Down Under in support of the release. There’s a bunkload of dates, check out the Discussion Board for details.

Thinking about & working on the next video, already started demo’ing tracks for the new album in which we’re shooting for a Fall 2008 release.

He also played Canadian Music Week just before heading south to Austin. Three gigs in two days, two of ‘em on the same night. Whatta champ. And him jumping off the stage of the Reverb, gathering the 100+ audience members into a tight circle around him for his closing number (”Basket”) was a moment I won’t soon forget.

He’ll be touring Quebec through out July … we’ll be posting those date’s here as soon as we have ‘em!

… MISS MURGATROID & PETRA HADEN …
Soon, little one. Soon.

All of the popular JUNO Weekend Events including Juno Cup, Juno Fan Fare, JunoFest and Songwriters’ Circle will take place over a four-day weekend alongside local festivities and events starting March 26, 2009.
Bob D’Eith, Executive Chair of the Vancouver 2009 Bid Committee for the JUNO Awards said, “This bid would not have been successful without the hard work of the bid committee, Tourism Vancouver, the staff of Music BC, the Province of British Columbia and the City of Vancouver who showed great vision in creating a new Cultural Tourism Strategy to fund this initiative.”

Bob D’Eith adds, “Working together, the City of Vancouver and the Province of British Columbia made this dream a reality and created a legacy which will help to fund other cultural tourism initiatives going into the future.
